And they are excellent if you have the time to learn how and when to use them, or to decide if initially it can work for you.
It’s normally up to you to identify, sort out and apply them. If you are lucky enough to stumble across something that works for you in a short time consider yourself lucky.

When it comes to profits, initially think small.
This is another key to small business success.
Do you need to make $1,000, or $1500, or $2500, or $5000?
I’m talking “need” not “want”.
When you think of "need," think this way: "How much income does the business need to generate to show that it is breaking even?"
Then, after the business breaks even, ask yourself, "How much positive cash flow do I need as proof that the business is showing early signs of success?"
After the first three months, what is the minimum you must make to break even? For example, if you make $500 positive cash flow by the third month is that good or not?

Here is where we identify some conditions or parameters by which initial success is described. This is to clarify what initial success is and how the 80% success rate fits into the Trifocal Marketing Group's message to businesses who join the membership.
Initial success is what needs to be reached before duplication is considered.
If initial success has not been reached, refinement of processes must take place. This means visiting what it is that you are doing and tweaking it instead of discarding a particular process in favor of doing something completely different.

- Another gage is the time frame of 6 months.

- Another gage is having 4 - 5 income streams in place.
- Another gage is to network with an average number of new prospect per week.
This is just a line in the sand where progress, or the lack of it, can be measured by real numbers.

A small profit should not be a hindrance to your thinking because the next question is: “Can I double it?” If you can, then in our example it will go from $500 to $1000.
The question that follows is: “Can I duplicate it for another income stream?" If you succeed your income could be close to $2000 or more.
If you end up making $1500 in the 6th month, you should be very satisfied because for the 7th month the question is, “Can we now make $3000 by duplicating what we have had success with already?”
With even a little success, you can start planning and building.
See, without even a little success you can't move on.
Without even a little success, you can't look ahead and you will have frustration and disappointment instead. Right?
Don’t get disappointed if it takes you 6 months to reach the $1500 level.
You have built a solid foundation.
You have a snowball compacted together.
The questions “Can I Double It?” and “Can I Duplicate
It in Another Income Stream” are the seed stage of the momentum part of the business snowball.
I’m using 6 months only as an example. You could do it sooner, or you may end up taking longer.

How many retirement income streams do you want? You decide!
Also, if you are retired and collecting $1500 in social security you could double your income after building your new business for about a year.
You could have $1500 in social security and $1500 in your new, successful business if you set it up right. A total of $3,000.

Again, this is only if you are satisfied with this level of profit for your business.
This is an example of the simplicity of the business plan, but only the beginning.
