In the mid 1990’s I decided to go into Network Marketing, a new field for me. The Trifocal Marketing Model was not available at that time.
I looked at several business opportunities in that industry and picked one.
After learning about it in depth and seeing the potential, I pressed on to market it.
After several weeks of failure I said to myself, “Am I the only one that sees this?"
"Why don’t others, who I thought surely would want this, take action like I did?”
So I stepped back and evaluated the situation.
Here’s a few of the thoughts that crossed my mind:
- The business opportunity had integrity.
- The products were what I believed in.
- The potential for profit was there if I could work it.
- It was a concept that was easy enough to understand.
- It had already appealed to a large number of people, to me as well, and should appeal to more people that I could connect with.
- Other people that I knew could really use an opportunity like this.
- There was support available in the form of opportunity meetings and up line help, etc.
It wasn’t until years later when I decided to try Network Marketing again that I understood the real problems of Home Based Businesses.
I was amazed that network marketing was still being done the same old way as in the past and nothing much had changed.
I realized that in order for me to succeed I must help others succeed with me and follow a simple plan that others could follow easily as well, without much hand holding.

The Internet has now become a great place to search for information, to network with people, or to market your products or services.
Many of the internet tools, though well intentioned, are popular but their application is a bit fuzzy because it’s new, and there is much to learn about it. The question is "Do you really need it?" Maybe, maybe not!
Those multiple deficiencies are really obscure, and therefore, many are unaware of their consequences. When you don't understand what is happening, you will start saying things like, "I don't understand why things aren't going well for me." or "It's just not coming together."
The Trifocal Marketing Model came together because of all the discoveries I just mentioned above. It came together because a different path was needed to bring about a different result.
